Round 5 Update
The long awaited top of the table clash between the Cobras and Sherbrooke in the U/12s ended in a 0-0 draw. The U/16s continue to improve and now sit 2nd on the ladder after their emphatic 2-0 win against 2nd placed Whitehorse. The U/14s had a bad day at the office and lost 1-7 to a very strong Whitehorse but can take some positives out of the game as they are playing in a league with lopsided teams in terms of experience. They are now placed 7th on the ladder. The U/11s improved to 7th spot even after their 3-0 loss to Ashburton.

The Small Sided games are on every Sunday morning at Victory Park for juniors aged 5 to 9.

The Under 12s were not looking forward to the trip to Sherbrooke but alas it was a glorious morning and when we arrived at Sherbrooke it was a clear day and the views were spectacular. The boys needed to win or at least draw this game to not loose their position on the ladder. It was a nail biting game both teams were wanting a win to push them further up the ladder and with a number of attempts on both sides during both halves it was great to see the defence line and the goalies doing a wonderful job.

As a team we were content this week to walk away with a draw. I would also like to thank George Strintzos who was acting linesman. Much appreciated George! The boys are looking forward to their game against Manningham. (Tas Karydis)

Our Under 11s are seeking players as low numbers are unfortunately making it tough to be competitive. The first game was played with 8 players and it was a brave effort as the side were unlucky not to hold on and drew 2-2 with Nth Caulfield. Glen Eira were too strong in Round 2 and lost 0-9. Round 3 was against Boroondara Eagles with a team of only 10, we were defeated 0 - 6 by a team with 3 subs the fresh legs for the opposition make a HUGE difference, This team was a lot better than the team last week so the team is starting to play better.

The game against Doncaster Rovers 1 - again another week with the team half asleep in the first half and no subs (at least we had 11 this week), we were defeated 0 - 7 by a top team in our division who have only lost 1 game, while this week the side lost 0-3 to Ashburton. The side only needs a couple of more players to improve its position (Mark Menere)
